Prejudice is a common human characteristic that it is difficult to avoid. Human always feel threatened by what is different so they resort to this ignorant way of thinking. As humans we tend to judge an individual based on skin tone, culture, religion and even plain looks. Prejudice is a way of showing dislike without actually directing it to the person; it is as bad as discrimination. Prejudice creates inequality in a society, which can always resort in tension between groups. It expresses a lack of empathy that restricts the unity and growth of a society.
