Feminist Theory

Even though women have come a long way in society I think that Feminist Theory explains much of the inequality that we see in a marriage/ household. Due to the economy, it is more likely to see a household in which two parents work in order to be able to provided for their family. However, even if the woman works outside of the home, many times for the same amount of time as the male, she has to go home and work an unpaid shift. Due to the roles that society has attached to what it means to being a women or a man, duties in the domestic aspect of maintaining the household are unequally divided which can create conflict in a marriage because the female is doing most of the work around the home and yet the male is still the one who majority of the time makes the decision due to the power that society has given him just for being a man. I think that the picture that I attached shows exactly what a working mothers job in the home consist of aside from her paid job.
