Ecological Systems Theory

I feel that the Ecological Systems Theory best explains the dynamics of a family and marriage. This theory encompasses the many aspects that have an affect on an individual that in turn affects their family. There are 5 components that make up this theory which involve: micro-system, meso-system, external system, macro system, and chrono system. The importance of this theory is understanding the interaction of the individuals and the different levels of the social environment, which affects their attitudes and behaviors. In the image above, it applies the Ecological Systems Theory to the Pursuit of Happiness. An example of a macrosystem affecting an individual is when the little boy and his father went to live in a state run shelter for a period of time.
