Stereotypes
Stereotyping is way to group people in forms of race, skin color, gender, social class etc. In other words we "label" or "tag" people by the way they look. The picture above is an example of stereotyping people by the color of their skin. Notice how the boys characterize "white" people as being a source of entertainment because of a TV show they like to see. In similar forms people all around us do the same thing. We all label people unconsciously or not because of the way we are raised or what we have taken in from our surroundings. However, stereotyping can be misleading. Not all "Asians" are bad drivers, not all "blondes" are stupid, and if a person is dark skinned doesn't mean they are from the same ethnic backgrounds. We should all stop and think before we stereotype because the way we treat a person can affect the way they or their families live.
