This particular picture represents age ( individual and institutional ) -discrimination in our society. Many older Americans are laid off before their time of suspected retirement due to the belief that they're incompatible with other employees.When at times the elder person may be more knowledgeable about the position than their younger counterparts. What's sad about this is that many older adults are forced to find work after they are laid off. Why ? Because a company wants to save money on policy payouts . So, this means the 401k that someone built over a 30+ year period was all in vain.
