I believe the Conflict Theory is the best to explain the issues of family and marriage. The image I chose shows a couple arguing with one another. Conflict theory draws attention to social inequality, power differentials, and social change. Family and marriage grow and develop through the occurrences of conflict. Within family and marriage, one competes to gain power, avoid a conflict so one doesn't have to deal with it, or compromise to seek a middle ground solution. Conflict is a part of everyday life and affects family and marriage depending on how one coops with it.
