Water for Elephants

Water for Elephants is based during the Great Depression where a veterinary student is put in charge of circus animals. While on his journey on this circus he falls for a former circus performer. The former circus performer happens to be married to the animal trainer. One theory that is very apparent is Attachment theory, the husband  has a very anxious/ambivalent style of love. Although he knows his wife is not in love with him anymore he is reluctant to let her go, he is completely attached to her and will stop at nothing to make sure she is his forever. Another theory visible in this movie is Lee's Style of Love, the two that stuck out the most is Eros because the veterinary student instantly fell in love with the former circus performer, the moment he saw her he knew she was the one and wanted to know everything about her. Storge is the other form of love the two resemble, their love was about trust, respect, affection, and passion.
