Titanic is a romantic love movie that is about a boy and girl from differing social backgrounds meet during the ill-fated maiden voyage of the Titanic and fall in love. One theory that describes this movie is Lee's agape theory of love. This theory fits with this movie because Rosa and Jack fall in love, but are not able to completely be with each other. Rosa has a fiance, Jack is patient enough an keeps trying to get Rosa to himself and eventually she does sacrifice her previous relationship to be with Jack. Another theory that best describes this movie is the Macro theory of love. Not that society did control Rosa and Jacks relationship, it shows how society tried to control them. For example, Rosa and her mother coming from a wealthier background, her mom tried to keep Jack away from her because he did not have the same social background as Rosa's fiance. To her mother he was not good enough for her, therefore she tried to keep them away from each other, but eventually failed.
